1. Badminton Club Ronda, in collaboration with Patronato Deportivo Municipal from Ronda, and Morales & Arnal as sponsorship organize:
The 5th “Ciudad de Ronda”
Veterans Badminton Tournament
Veteran players who have their federative license would be able to participate on it.
2. Date and timetable:
The fifth “Ciudad de Ronda” Veterans Badminton Tournament will take place in Ronda, Málaga (Spain) on the 9th and 10th of November 2013 at the sport hall “El Fuerte” situated at Guadalcobacín Street. The timetable is expected to be on Saturday from 9.00h to 19.00h and on Sunday from 9.00h to 17.00h. Both days there will be a meeting with the delegates at 9.00h
3.There will be the following categories:
- Veterans “A”- From 30 to 39 years: 1983-1974
- Veterans “B”- From 40 to 49 years: 1973-1964
- Veterans “C”- From 50 to 59 years: 1963-1954
- Veterans “D”- From 60 to 64 years: 1953-1949
- Superveterans - From 65 onwards: 1948-downwards
Depending on the number of players registered in each category they will be brought together or either got into groups.
The different disciplines that will be played are:
Saturday 9th of November
- - Mixed doubles
- - Men´s Individual
- - Women´s Individual
- - Star trophy “Opticalia Ronda”: Women´s individual and Men´s individual.
Sunday 10th of November
- - Men´s doubles
- - Women´s doubles
The players who are going to play individual matches, if they want, they will be allowed to play in a lower category to the one that they belong, but never to a higher one. For doubles matches, couples will play at the category belonged to the older player.
Star category “Opticalia Ronda” Trophy
This is an “extra competition” for those who have a higher level and enjoy playing harder matches. There will be two categories: Women´s Individual and Men´s Individual (regardless of age).
In addition to the higher competitiveness of this extra competition, the Organization will reward the winners with:
A 100 € cash prize
The people who decide to play at this category is not allowed to play at any other Individual Category and will have to pay 5€ extra for their registration.
If there were not enough people to create the Star category (8 people in each category), the players registered would play at the category (A,B,C,D, Superveterans) they belong to, and the 5€ payment would be paid back.
4. Competition System:
There will be a system league for all categories and a final phase which will be elimination at the first loss. The matches will be played based on current regulations.
There will not be referee, but scoreboard. The player/team that lose/s, must help the next match with the punctuation and scoreboard.
Shuttlecocks will be made of natural feather.
5.Prizes:
There will be Trophies for every single category winner and runner-up.
Besides, the Star category winners (WI & MI) will receive a 100 € cash prize.
6. Registration:
Those who want to join the competition must send their registration, (registration document will be sent to those who writes us to:
before the 29th of October at 22 o’clock.
The registration price will be 12€ for each single discipline, 20€ for two disciplines. The Star Category “Opticalia Ronda” players will have to pay 5€ extra for their registrations.
The registration taxes have to be paid via transference, after registration, we will back a mail with IVAN code to transfer it.
Once the transference is made, the registration document must be filled in and sent to:
IMPORTANT: The registered players who don´t take part in the tournament wont have right of refund.
On the 4th of November, Monday evening, the game tables of matches will be sent via mail to all the registered players. If you need any complaint about it, it must be attended until the 6th of November at 22 o´clock. In case of changes, the definitive tables will be sent on the 7th of November.

9. Stand and services to offer during our tournament.
Those companies or people who want to display sport equipment, or goods related to sport, will be able to do it just for 40€/stand, as for the rest of services (physiotherapy, chiropody, …).
There will be a bar inside the sport hall which will offer a special menu
